What Notice Is Required for Probate or Trust Hearings?

No hearing in probate or trust matters may be set before twenty days after filing and service of the pleadings. RCW 11.96A.110. This notice requirement supercedes other notice provisions of the civil rules. RCW 11.96A.090.

Despite this statute, some King County Commissioners believe that the King County Local Rule permitting probate motions on fourteen days notice governs "small and usual motions."
